Distinctive Residential HVAC
Located in Ashland, Oregon, Green Hammer Construction is building a custom home to the standard of three high level green energy credentials; the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED- H Platinum certification, the Forest Stewardship Council’s Chain-Of-Custudy (FSC-COC) certification, and the European Passivhaus standard. Meeting these standards is a remarkable feat considering the homes 5,300 square foot size. Essentially, the structure will be 17 times tighter than the current building code equivalent and possess an energy load of a home 1/6th it’s size.
To meet these rigorous standards, Green Hammer incorporated structural insulated paneling (SIP), triple pane Unilux windows, and a dramatic linear design by architect Jan E. Fillinger.
Advanced Air & Metal provided the HVAC expertise to maintain comfortable and balanced indoor air circulation that meets the desired energy standard. To accomplish this, a Daikin ducted system and Zehnder HRV comfort ventilation system were incorporated into the design of the home.
